WE CONCEPTUALIZED, PITCHED, AND SHOT

the global launch campaign for Optima Batteries’ all-new Yellowtop battery.  Born from the concept was the entire launch marketing campaign in general, and the video series itself.  One single battery would travel from vehicle to vehicle in multiple locations across multiple disciplines of motorsports in a journey dubbed “The Ultimate Torture Test.”  The name stemming from Optima’s own tagline; “The Ultimate Power Source.”  The campaign spanned from King of the Hammers in the Mojave Desert, to Moab Utah, to the famous Nürburgring in Germany, to Pikes Peak in Colorado.  Additional locations we were unavailable for included the Putnam County Fair, and a boat record run from Key West to Cuba.  Each location included multiple days on set with a small highly efficient crew and consisted of demanding on-site logistics.

Shot entirely in 4K, primarily on the RED platform. Filmed for 30 & 15 second national TV broadcast spots, as well as web mini-documentaries.
