The reveal and national launch video for the all-new Nitto Recon Grappler all-terrain tire, designed to showcase the tire’s many facets, from the jobsite, to the campsite.  Conceptualized, written, directed, shot, and edited by us.

Pre-production

Copy write all voiceover script, storyboard message and premise of ad, source voiceover talent via auditions.

Arrange Locations

Utilize extensive working knowledge of local New England and California locations to devise a shot plan based on the blue collar and enthusiast theme of ad campaign.

Capitalize on crew’s off road truck experience, as well as various connections in the construction and ranching industries to source driving and talent.

All field production

Executed over the course of a week on the east and west coast, a small crew worked independent of the client, turn-keying the production from beginning to end, shooting all source footage, as well as an additional stills package for social and print. 

All post production

Edited/delivered primary 2.5 minute long form video for use in the initial launch and subsequent marketing of the new tire, augmented by a separate 30 second broadcast-style ad, all complete with still photography.

THE CHALLENGE

Develop a completely original video campaign complete with still photography, from scratch, complete with all planning, scripting, sourcing of vehicles and talent, locations, shooting, and editing included.

THE SOLUTION

Pre-scout familiar potential locations prior to shooting. Selected music track and copy wrote script prior to arriving in the field. Utilized pre-existing working knowledge of our shoot locations to maximize time on set, in the end producing 1 long-form 2.5 minute video, and a shorter broadcast-length 30 second spot honing in on the tough nature of the Recon Grappler tire, communicating it's features for both work and play. Generated a stills package with embedded team photographer to accompany the final campaign while in the midst of shooting principle video.
